Prospera

High Priestess

Once a scion of the Evermore family, Prospera was born a high elf with wealth and privilege laid before her. She was groomed for a glittering career in her family’s mercantile ventures and stood poised to become one of the most influential traders in Lygos. Yet, in a move that shocked her kin and reshaped her destiny, she renounced her name and inheritance, swearing herself wholly to Waukeen, the Lady of Gold. From that day forward, she has answered only to the name Prospera.

In the temple, Prospera is a vision of authority and devotion. She wears a golden tiara upon her brow and flowing gilded robes that shimmer in the temple’s light. With her keen eyes and commanding presence, she oversees the constant chorus of business that fills Waukeen’s sanctuary—deals struck, contracts blessed, mediators guiding commerce with divine sanction. Amidst this bustle, her word carries the weight of both priestess and arbiter.

Critics—particularly rivals of the Evermores—whisper that Prospera was seduced by wealth rather than faith. Yet those who have knelt before her gilded altar know the truth: her devotion to Waukeen is uncompromising. She has famously sided against her own kin when their dealings proved unjust, earning both respect and enmity in equal measure. Most notably, she spearheaded a successful campaign to outlaw usury, insisting that only carefully regulated banks may charge interest on loans, shielding Lygos’ poor from predatory lenders.

To the faithful, Prospera is both beautiful and inspiring, a living embodiment of Waukeen’s virtues of fair trade, prosperity, and integrity. In her temple, even kings and nobles must submit to her judgment, for in matters of commerce, Prospera serves not family, nor faction, but the goddess alone.
