Silas Greybrow

Court Reporter

Appearance: Thin and wiry, with gray hair slicked back, a bushy mustache that twitches when he writes, and ink-stained fingers. His spectacles are always slipping down his nose.

Personality: Nervous, detail-obsessed, mutters to himself as he scratches down every word in longhand. He prides himself on flawless transcripts — and secretly sells copies of “sensational trials” to broadsheets for extra coin.

Quote: “Objection sustained—ah, no, sorry, that was the magistrate, let me just… scribble, scribble, scribble…”

Hook: Silas may have recorded something he shouldn’t — a noble’s confession, a conspirator’s slip. PCs might need to “borrow” one of his transcripts.
