1st-level conjuration
Casting Time: 1 reaction, which you take when a creature or object within range falls
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You conjure a soft, magical cloud to catch a falling creature or object within range. The cloud appears directly beneath the target, halting their descent.
If the target is a medium or smaller creature, they fall gently onto the cloud and take no damage from the fall. They can remain on the cloud for the duration or use half their movement to step off.
If the target is an object, it lands safely on the cloud without breaking, provided the object weighs no more than 500 pounds.
The cloud can hold up to 500 pounds. If the combined weight of creatures and objects on the cloud exceeds this limit, the spell ends and everything falls.
The cloud is immobile and occupies a space up to 10 feet in diameter.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the weight limit increases by 500 pounds for each slot level above 1st. At 5th level casting, you can catch a Large creature.
Classes: Sorcerer, Wizard, Druid, Bard
