In 1494 DR, this ship sits in ruins at the bottom of the Sea of Swords a day or two off Skaug.
This is what happened to the ship according to Daniel B. Cooper:
« Ah. Those damn Valkur worshippers bit off more than they could chew.
T'was 1490, I got caught up in a pretty bad spot, son. So I did what I had to do. Made myself pass for a damned Valkur worshipper and hung around them for a while waiting for the time I’d get to a.. proper destination. But those damn sailors had to get all uppity about being attacked by a group of weresharks and losing a few men. They couldn’t get on with their life until « justice was done for the men who died ». They tracked down wherever they went, sending prayers to Valkur to bless them for their future battle. They went down to some sort of sunken temple. A glorious temple, an underwater shrine to Umberlee tended by her children. They killed all of them and robbed them blind. Took everything from the temple and broke all that represented Umberlee. I wanted to slap some sense into them, but it’d blow my cover. So I stayed quiet. Among the treasures was the Hand of Umberlee. An artifact I heard of only once in my life previous to that, in a legend. Wasn’t sure if it actually existed.
Nevertheless, they took it and sang chants to Valkur on the way back to shore. A true affront for the Bitch Queen. I prayed for her to take notice, and to spare me from their fate.
Her wrath was more intense than the heath of the breath of an ancient red dragon! I had never seen a storm such as this. And trust me, I’ve seen many. No one survived it. Oh how foolish they were. One would know.
The Bitch Queen returned me among the living. For what purpose, I’m not sure. I still pray to her every day, but I wish she would have taken me. She had spared me as I had requested, but the price paid for tasting death is too much for a man like me to bear. »
