The adventure began at home, four homes to be exact: the House of the Moon, the Charkley hovel, the Carpenter home, and the Brandybuck mansion.
The Good Bean: In the House of the Moon, the famous Waterdavian temple to Selûne, Alfyn Albright tugged his robe over his halo and departed with the priests to collect silver pieces and alms in the dock ward.
The Frenemies: In a hovel on Cats Alleys, the freckle faced Barles Charkley awoke to find that his mother was already gone for the day and that there was no food. He hopped off his bed and headed for the dock ward to pick some pockets for lunch money.
In a mansion far from the “common riff-raff,” Lindir of House Brandybuck was notified by his father that he would be accompanying him to the dock ward for a business affair. He begrudgingly agrees, as if he even had a say.
The Big Sister: In the Carpenter family home, Margaret Carpenter, daughter of retired paladins Michael and Charlene Carpenter, snuck out of the house for adventure while her mother was busy dealing with all Maggie’s younger siblings. She finds her way to the dock ward, where she knows sea adventures start.
Lindir and Barles challenged each other to a fight and both ended up on the harbor. Margaret and Alfyn dove in to save them, but none of the children knew how to swim. Thankfully, just in the knick of time, local tavern owner Osgood Dint rescued all of the children and ushers them inside his tavern, the Dogfish Dancehall, to get dried off, fed a snack, and given a place to play until their adults could gather them
In the tavern, the children met Moriah Dint, Osgood and Giselle Dint’s daughter. She had the coolest toys and made fast friends with the group, encouraging shenanigans (like stealing a mug of beer) and playing truth or dare.
Moriah Dint is obsessed with pirates, especially the legendary Captain Kedrick ‘Silver Eye’ Tides, and now music, as the party had decided to form a band, a pirate band!
