Maria is the elder of her clan of traveling Vistani. She promised to have her clan help the Hawthorne Guild as a thanks for resurrecting on of her members, Alina Dragavei. She also told Horace and Ophelia D'Vespere she had heard of another Vistani clan member being murdered in a similar fashion Alina was, although she believes they have returned to Barovia since then.
