A grand institution of learning and growth, open to all, Founded in accordance with the Hawthorne Guild and the donations of many generous citizens, Hawthorne University will provide education for all citizens of Hawthorne.
At the University's Library, sometimes called ''Murmur's Library'' in memory of the library that once was in Lerwick before its destruction in1494 DR. There is now a large room with a community spellbook containing all the spells. It is encased in glassteel and the pages turn automatically thanks to a small mechanism activated by a command word.
