The Copper District
The Copper District was the first residential district (re)built in Lerwick by the Guild. The houses were quite ramshackle at first, but over time they have steadily been improved. Nowadays, the district for the most part forms the craftsmen district, with the Smokestacks at the center of this.
The Smokestacks was the collective name for all the forges, potteries, and similar structures that are all located together in the Copper District. Most of these are publicly usable, stemming from the time where private residences were a precious and rare thing, and such commodities had to be shared by all.
It is also where a number of other important buildings can be located however, and a number of Guild members have built their homes here too. In comparison to the Iron District, this is generally speaking where the more well-off citizens of Lerwick live, as much as that term can be applied.[1]
In 1494 DR, this area was destroyed during the Attack of the Dawn Titan.
