The other familiar face that Lerwickians would recognize both in lerwick, Phlan, and the surrounding regions of both is the famed treasure huntress Veradda Stoor. Veradda is a happy-go-lucky dungeon delver and treasure huntress, who willingly pursues the biggest and greatest scores, less interested in the material gain, and more in building her reputation. While skilled and competent, her best resource and ally is the exorbitant amount of luck that she has. She often sends adventurers out on tasks to less important treasure sites to collect rumors or scraps of knowledge that might guide her to the Dragon Queen's hoard, leaving the actual treasure of those locations to be claimed by the adventurers.
Recently, with the Hoard out of Veradda's reach she's turned her attention to the Dessarin Valley, and with a missing trade delegation organized a search party for the missing members while using it as an excuse to comb the region for the hidden treasure of Flametongue.
Veradda had always been lucky as a child, evading trouble and tumbling through accidents with barely a scrape or injury. She turned this luck to adventure, and enjoyed delving into dangerous ruins for the thrill and discovery, never taking more than was needed for the next adventure in loot. One ill-fated adventure however in 1486 DR, Veradda picked a job with a less than savory crew of adventurers. Threatened with her life, they forced her ahead of their party to search for a clear way through the trap infested ruin. With no option but faith, Veradda trusted her luck and delved. That day, her luck was never stronger, as trap after trap she bypassed without being touched, and haplessly the scoundrels that would forced her to her death fell afoul to mistake an accident one after another. In the end, only Veradda remained, having made it to the last chamber of the ruin, the place a trial built for adherents of Tymora. Falling to her knees before the ruined statue, Veradda gave thanks, and the goddess of Fortune smiled upon her. Emerging from the ruins, Veradda had never felt luckier, and while she exhibits no divine powers, she gives thanks to Tymora, not knowing the goddess eleveated her among her chosen.
