Villinius Antagoniste

The Charming Devil

Vill is one of a handful of mortals who inhabited the nine-hells. Non-native tiefling, he was a Glasya tiefling who lived within Minauros before the ritual that changed him to Asmodean descent. Generally faffed about and was a nobody during the time between the spellplague and second sundering, primarily focusing on entertaining devils where need by, and trying to fly under the radar with his generally chaotic bullshit. After the second sundering, he realized that his life expectancy has suddenly dropped was the blood war was suspended, and sought a way out or a quick way to power. During a ritual where Asmodeus was to invest his Ruby Rod upon a mortal aspect to serve. Vill managed to co-opt the pact of the rod at the last second through trickery, binding himself to the replica imperfectly. Thereafter he absconded from hell to roam the material, while trying to avoid the cults of the nine as much as possible while trying to hold himself to standard of what he opines a good devil should behave as.

After multiple misadventures in the Material Plane, Vill has managed to free himself of the Pact with Asmodeus, freeing himself from the Pact he'd made. Instead, he's been invested with the divine power of Asmodeus himself, serving as his most powerful 'Faithful' on Toril. Empowered as Asmodeus' most powerful arch-cleric-wizard-extraordinaire, Vill now has practically retired from adventuring and wandering, instead settling down in Hawthorne with his Fiance Raetani to attend to his business, the Ruby Wager.

Early History
Vill was born in the ancient city of Minauros on what would be the sixth of Kyhtorn on an unknown year. Highly placed for the sorcerous and magical talents, his family lived in relative comfort, for the nine hells. As required to maintain their rank, Vill studied wizardry in tutelage with other massed outsiders, devils mostly. The book describes the experience as extraordinarily traumatic for the young boy, as befitting the nine hells. It clarifies that Vill subsequently repressed his memories of his childhood, instead choosing to remember the time as attending as he describes it, a 'wizard highschool' with reasonably less bullying than what he endured. So proceeded Villinius Antagoniste's childhood till his early years, a sad frightened little boy in a hellish world that deserved those fears. - 'A Historee of the Charming Devil' A Hag's magical trinket journal discovered by an adventurer.
