Kvak is the single largest den of scum, villainy, contraband and crime in Traramis. Built by Sea Nymphsas a way to gather prey into one place more reliably, it became quite a successful trade hub for illegal goods and a good hiding place for those who want to lay low. Whether it’s fish, Mahnna weaponry, ant potions, or stolen Liute leather jackets, Kvak’s markets have it. Due to perpetual rain, the streets often get flooded, acting as massive gutters for the water, with lower-class inhabitants drowning and ending up as sea nymph chum. Middle and upper-class citizens live in houses built on stilts or in sloping structures that prevent the rain from collecting, sending it down on the poor sods below. But even then, no one is ever dry in Kvak, just a little less damp. Others have given up on outclimbing the rain and live on boats moored to the boardwalk on the city’s shore.
