Kantaras - the city of sand. You will be hard pressed to find a drop of water anywhere in this city, as the worship of sand and the loathing of water are some of the base Se-Liute religion goals. There is still water in the city walls, as it is a base requirement most life, however it is well hidden and out of sight of any traveler.
The city is divided up into the 4 burrows, each with it's own view on the 4 differing paths - The mainstay of the lifecycle of all beings, with the burrow of the path of water being by far the poorest and least respected community. The Liute who reside here still cling to the old beliefs, and though they are numerous, they have little to no political power within the city.
In the center of the city stands the grand church of sand, dedicated to the great turtle on which the city resides. With the recent blow the great turtle suffered in the war, many spend their days here praying for his safety and health. Ever since the great war ended, and the Turtle ceased it's warpath, there have been whispers of his demise, which are staunchly silenced by the priest and inquisition forces.
Kantaras is accepting of all travelers, so long as they obey the rules and don't openly display or consume water, all are welcome.
