The Circle of the Drowned, known also as the Farwalkers, were an organization of people that sought to reinforce the thawing of the world and take full advantage of the new possibilities brought by the rising temperatures. Despite their positive outwards facades, the organization were known to be cult-like in its structure, often requiring full devotion from its initiates to assist the efforts of the group, which involved excavations, mining operations and other hidden activities. It was not abnormal for members to cut ties to their former companions and family, if they had any in the first place.
The circle were active in all of the region, but it was particularly influential in Briskwater, Frostreach and Whitestag, with small holdings in the wilderness far from civilization where they would supposedly test their newfound techniques of agriculture, craftsmanship and weather rituals. The circle were not very active in Stormhaven, since the regions capitol already had several powerful factions and little room for more influencers.
Despite their reputation, visits by members of the circle were often welcome by the places they went to, since they brought with them fruits and vegetables grown in their own holdings, crafted items of good quality, and news of the outside world. For these exchanges, their recruitment efforts were tolerated in return.
The circle's headquarters was an isolated village called
Farhold.
