Half-elves were mostly descendants from a time where elves and other races lived closer together. In modern times, half-elves might have strong elven blood from generations past, and think little of it. Some half-elves were still curious about their heritage, but they were rarely welcomed into elven society, as their lifespans made it difficult for elves to truly connect with them.
