Halfling

Halflings in Stormhaven

Halflings were a deeply religious people that wandered from place to place to seek out their destinies. They were a kind and hearty folk, who enjoyed sharing stories and learning the history of the lands they visited. Halflings were often burly, packed in several layers of fur and cloth, giving them the appearance of small blobs dressed in colorful attire that moved across the icy fields. In many ways, halflings were even more adaptable to the climate changes than the humans.

It was difficult for a halfling to part ways with their tribe, and join other groups, but not unheard of.

Halfling religion

Halflings followed their own pantheon of deities, headed by the three ladies that shaped much of halfling society. This triad of goddesses were ancient, and the religion were said to predate that of the Path of Frost and Fire.

Lureenthe older sister of the triad, who blessed the children that would one day become great leaders, figureheads and decision makers. These halflings grow up to become the Ghostwise.

Maluna, the middle sister of the triad, who blessed the children that would grow to bring the traditions and lifestyle of the halflings into the next generations. These halflings grow up to become the Stout.

Innithe younger sister of the triad, who blessed the children that would grow to become great warriors and protectors of their tribes. These halflings grow up to become the Lightfoot.

In addition to the three goddesses, several celestial figures appeared in their numerous stories, including Ksumi, a celestial fox that served as messenger for the goddesses.
