Genasi in Stormhaven
Genasi were descendants of ancestors that took on the power of the elemental powers themselves, that permanently left a mark on their heritage. They were as varied as humans and any other race, and came in all sizes and personalities. Due to their mysterious origins, genasi enjoyed spending time together with similar folk of mixed heritages, including the tieflings and the half-elves. They were numerous enough to form permanent settlements on the outskirts of civilization, and they tended to prosper and grow quickly in size due to the inborn capabilities of the exotic race.
Some Genasi were said to be descendants of genies, who were in turn believed to be among some of the oldest inhabitants of the world, drawing power from a primordial source of creative magic that were foreign to mortals today.
The secrets of the Conflux
In the Imperial Era, humans called upon the power of raw elemental power to form great magic-fueled empires across the face of the world. Some of these humans infused their bodies and blood with this raw power, forever altering their biological design into that of the genasi race. Some of the bloodlines that trace back to these days are said to occasionally spawn a mystic, a powerful genasi born with the innate ability to shape magic, otherwise also known as sorcerers.
