Cardenter, otherwise known as the "Failed Sun," is theorized to have come very close to becoming a full star but was ultimately unable to undergo fusion. Composed of various mixtures of natural gasses, its mild gravity allowed humans to build a space station to siphon the gas for use as fuel. Over time the workers began creating families, and eventually it became an established city-station. Nowadays its harsh and industrial beginnings are kept below the major metropolitan areas, while up above is a lush and stable living environment.
