Valdyr

The world of Valdyr, shaped through ambition, survival, and ultimately...consequences.  Kingdoms form atop ancient scars, empires collapse under their own power, and beyond that lies the unforgiving wilderness.  Roads are traveled by soldiers, merchants, refugees, zealots, mercenaries, even the odd creature or two.  Forgotten ruins and long lost horrors lie buried waiting to be released or plundered of their treasures, though nothing stays buried for long.

Magic both arcane and divine hold great power, but never underestimate a cold blade.  Much of history has been written at the end of a spear as well as magic guiding the author's hand.  From faith to brutal battles, from cunning and diplomacy to unbridled determination has shaped much of what is known in history, the present, and the unknown future.  Some lands stand as pinnacles of law and order, others survive through the chaos.  Cultures clash over ancient bloodshed and ideology, many factions rise and fall with the scales of power.  Thriving bustling cities to quaint quite villages, each holding onto ancient traditions and eye opening wonders.  Each covered in layers of corruption, war, monstrosities, and simply the harsh realities of life.

Valdyr, not simply grim, not simply a land of heroes, just simply a world that thrives regardless of would be adventurers.  A world where anything one can dream of can be made possible.  Will you forge grand alliances, build formidable kingdoms, chase fortune hunting monsters, discover ancient secrets, or die forgotten in the mud alongside so many others?
