Dr. David Smith used to live a normal with his wife and 2 children until one day will being hours in the ER he treated a patient with unusual wounds. When the patient had recovered men from the Cheiron Group had approached him for a job with a better which he took.
After taking the job his world had turned upside as he learned more of the dangers of the world and he learned more about how to help the field agents for enchantments and injuries. Then came long months when he started to work with a mimic and how it could be of use in the field. Then one day the facility he was working at was attacked and an explosion was set off that destroyed the building and killing everyone except for Smith. When he woke from the debris the mimic had somehow attached to him and saved his life.
After fully recovering Smith tried to return to his normal life with the mimic fused to him but since his first day with the Cheiron Group his marriage went on the rocks as his work slowly consume his free time and he had to keep secrets from his family. His fusion was his wife's last straw as one day when he returned home she had left with the children. With his family gone Simth become a field agent taking the name Zero as he is patient zero for being fused with a mimic
