The madcap cities and peaceful forests of Pendulum are home to the diminutive gnomes. The northern part of the country is largely woodland occupied by simple forest gnomes, while the southern coast features many port cities of technological wonder and their rock gnome denizens. The greatest city in Pendulum though is Observatory, of course named after the massive telescope the city was built around. This astronomical observatory is the largest and most advanced on the entire planet and is overseen by the Scientific and Technological Institute of Gnomes, where some of the best and brightest astronomers eat, sleep, and breath the movements of the stars.
