Dagult Neverember grew up in Neverwinter and eventually held positions of power there. His stated goal was to bring power and strength to Neverwinter.
In 1479 DR, he became Open Lord of Waterdeep and actually brought Waterdeep into a state of glory through his political and economic prowess.
Neverember’s lust for power was, however, unabated as he sought to uncover the secrets of the Masked Lords of Waterdeep.
In or prior to 1489, he apparently embezzled half a million dragons (or so rumor has it) and hid the money somewhere in Waterdeep.
