A mysterious human-looking male occupying the caves of Skadaurak, Archastus carries himself like a noble and expresses a keen interest in the city of Waterdeep. He wears fine clothing of red and gold, and walks with a cane - more for form than function. Seeming to be a lover of riddles, he offers information in exchange for solving puzzles he presents, as well as claiming to help, or be responsible for, "maintaining the legends that surround the island, and dragon, Hoondarrh."
This human shape, however, he admits is not his true form. Whether he actually is Hoondarrh, or something else entirely, remains a mystery.
