Thraceruf grew up on the harsh streets of Baldur's Gate and survived through a combination of begging, scavenging, grifting and entertaining. As a result, he developed a knack for survival, a gift for finding valuable items, and an obsessive desire to hoard said items.
Thraceruf was an energetic performer who joined The Dazzling Daresays after meeting up with Z in a tavern far outside the city walls. After traveling together for a time, they came across the Daresays on their way to Luskan for a performance and became part of the troupe.
After traveling with the Daresays, the troupe gained some prominence along the coast. Unfortunately, during a high rope performance, Remble - as he was fondly called by Z - fell to his death as the safety measures put in place failed. It is later revealed that he died as a result of Janeglen Varrik and Pashpatu Rai leaving their duties during the trick to steal a chest of gold from the troupe. Overall, the death was explained away as an accident.
The Daresays were not able to overcome the loss of Thraceruf and Z and dissolved shortly thereafter.
