This magic carpet used to belong to Elminster Aumar. He gave it to Z as a gift, and took a good amount of repair to get the carpet back to flying form. It has a sentience of its own and is devoted to Z. It is also highly opinionated, and prefers to make its own decisions, but will listen to Z if he needs it to do something specific or let someone else have a lift.
