This simple ring is made of silver with an inset of stained ash. The silver is adorned with a simple cross hatch pattern.
This ring has a special connection with the weave. If its wearer is faced with the possibility of a spell not functioning due to counterspell or some other reason, the wearer can choose to expend a spell slot one level above the actual spell to guarantee its success. If the spell requires a target to make a saving throw, all normal rules apply to the throw.
For example, to cast a level six spell and ensure the spell will cast successfully, the wearer can use a level seven spell slot.
It has a companion amulet, among items belonging to Ander Blackwood, but the amulet is unfortunately broken.
