Dr. Alfden is the novice necromancer leading the bandit camp out in the woods near Baybrook, he is a legitimate doctor who was forced into crime when the Golden Hand found he had been using Necromancy spells in his practice. Now directly acting outside the law and pesky authorities he has trained his Necromancy spells to the point of maintaining multiple skeletons to guard the bandit camp at all times. He recently healed one of the villagers, Henry Smithers, who would've died under the unskilled hands of the local, "lawful", caretaker in town.
