<aside> 📖 ‘On Eternal Fire’,  a book we are shown by Muulo Jr..

"A gold and a brass dragon used to live here, hundreds of years ago. Had made a deal with the fey of the Titan Forest, to share and protect the lands. They both succumbed to the Eternal Fire."

• The Lord of Dreams replaced the dragons. He sent out the Cinder Dream. No other mention of it. No mention of sacrifices. A ‘deep sleep’ after the Dream, until the Lord of Dreams retreated.
• Lord of Dreams recruiting those blessed with the vision through dreams.
• No mention of the prophecy. </aside>

Someone from Shroomshire tried to enter this village many years ago. Had a cart of fish. Very likely Elissa’s dad. Left when people started talking about the Cinder Dream, and then they chased him out of Shuril.

Brulée goes with the eggs to some kind of tiny shed. Tried to sneak in, but it’s just an empty shed. Couldnt’ smell anything, since his nose gets stuffy in town.

Muulo takes out a couple more metal dome hats against the Cinder Dream from a box. When we wear them, the magic earrings don’t work. No longer feel watched when wearing.

Sai casts the see invisibility spell and tries taking the hat off. The big eye is gone. After a minute or so, it disappears.

The Shack

15 x 20ft. In between a couple of houses. Some people working the fields about 100ft away.

Tunnel underneath. Branching paths, with a dragon egg directly ahead, 800ft.

Parts of the tunnels have benches, badly cobbled together. Hay littered on the floors.

Paths assymmetrical, seem to be quite erratic. Leading towards other houses?

Stealth, reach a much bigger corridor, and a large door. It is trapped, but not locked.

Large room with elemental discs. Rows of glass tubes, different forms floating around in them. Rows of bookshelves. Desk with papers. Carpenter’s workbench, bloodstained with embalming tools. Keeps going far down. Feel a light draft going down it. In the tubes, there is a thick liquid in which small, many limbed creatures are suspended. There are pieces of dragon egg- shells on the floor.

As we head down, a mechanic clicking noise as the elemental discs shift. A whirring, note noise. Source is a hexagonal crystal suspended over a fire pit with a low flame. Behind it is a stairway up to a different room. Pile of hay behind it.

Mechanism on the underside of the desks. Scraping stone noise. A drawer with a book inside opens from the platform with the brazier and crystal.

List of names, most of them crossed out.

Eventually includes some names we recognise- Glenda, Gregory, Geoffrie. Those are not crossed out.

Later, they will be more in the line of descriptions, rather than names. Not crossed out have a C in red ink next to them.

One of the pages are entirely painted over with black ink. When lighting it from behind, its possible to make out more names.

Egg shape floating in blue liquid. Khohros pulls a lever, and the tube drains of liquid and then opens. We take the egg and put it in the bag of holding. There are other dragon fetuses in the tubes, some of which are only barely embryos at this point.

Workbench, another book.

Cabinet, preserved fetuses, or parts of developing embryos.

Book, folded up ‘poster’ with diagrams etc. containing instructions for making:

• Primordial dragon.
  • Extra elemental dragons
• Visions dragon
  • Doesnt have a mouth, but does have many eyes.
• ‘A Champion’ - unfinished
  • Drawing, different iterations. Later iteration looks a lot like what we saw in Wheatband. (eyes and tentacles)
  • This matches the dragon we killed in Wheatband.

The handwritings in this book matches the different handwritings in the names-crossed-notebook.
