Son of Gildhor Hellum and Lillith Storm, fugitives that spent their lives running away until Lillith gave birth, and realised she could not raise him.
Rogan was abandoned when he reached his second year, he was left at the Waterdeep Orphanage’s door with a pendant with a rare inscription and a note that said “He’ll understand”.
Rogan spent his early years from one foster home to the next, his shy nature and social inability made people feel uneasy around him and incredibly hard to connect with him, by the age of 15 he had been transferred 5 times, he was moved yet again to his final home, on the Riverside where he finally felt he could be happy. One night after diner, Rogan went to bed and heard his parents talking about a mystery letter they received regarding Rogan. Rogan felt he was not wanted anymore and he felt something coming out of him, but he had no control over it. Rogan closed his eyes and the next thing he could remember was his home collapsing with his parents in it.
Rogan was sent back to Waterdeep’s Orphanage, where he spent another year before Professor Ilbhur Lyre from the COCAMA (College Of Conjuring And Magic Arts) offered to take him in and look after him as his apprentice.
Rogan had a really hard time in COCAMA, he felt Ilbhur was not looking after him as a pupil, but he was treated more as a weapon, ahead all times from the class he was in, more was expected and asked from Rogan, until he was deceived into joining a mission with Ilbhur with very dark intentions. He ran away spiking Ilbhur’s drink, and never looked back.
After running away, Rogan felt nobody could be trusted, and the need of having a relationship with someone else was useless, to the point he decided to forsake any sort of relationships coming his way.
He kept on training, and learning on his own. He ended up travelling from one town to the next, taking any seasonal jobs he could find, and refusing to have any contact with anyone.
He’d always be seen with Echo, his familiar, often in the shape of a Hawk. Echo became everything Rogan needed.
For the last years, Rogan and Echo travelled the continent trying to find meaning to the inscription and symbol engraved in the pendant.
