Summer Stevens is one of those rare humans who not only survived the years of disease and disaster following the rise of COV, but thrived through it. A Florida native, Summer had already survived a half dozen hurricanes before reaching adulthood. She never claimed more than an average academic record, but her bright personality and warm nature always gave her an edge when dealing with others. With an absent mother and an ailing father in high school, Summer pushed herself to finish a full semester ahead of her class to care for him in his declining months. Economic and culinary classes at her local community college, along with the inheritance after her father's passing, gave her the skills and funds she needed to open up what would quickly become a thriving food truck business. Taking inspiration from her favorite movie, "Chef," Summer took her truck on the road.

When the world threatened to shut down in Spring of 2020, The Little Kitchen That Could kept going. As political tension and conflict continued to rise, her journey pushed west, until she finally landed in New Orleans a few months after The Becoming. There, she sought sanctuary within the boundaries of the KOA, and she traded her truck in for a motorcoach. Now she travels between the campgrounds in the New Republic of Texas and Free States of North America, spending 2-3 months helping feed travelers and residents before moving on to the next.
