We began our journey in Wickenburg, AZ, a small community northwest of Phoenix. While enjoying a quiet drink at Mecca Cantina, the town came under attack y denziens of Wastelands. Unfortunately for the invaders, they were outgunned and outnumbered, with a scouting party from Mexico also making their presence known with their assistance.
The Mexican representatives met with the town elders, making their intentions clear of taking over Arizona as a part of their conquest into southwestern North America. Although sanctuary and citizenship was offered, the majority of the citizens elected to relocate further north and east, deeper into the center of Free States of North America, leaving Mexico and the Wastelanders to fight each other for the Arizona territory.
With the majority of Wickenburg's citizens traveling through Phoenix, two other teams were selected to evacuate the western Arizona communities. The players' group traveled through a handful of smaller towns, most already abandoned, but two had been attacked by offshoots of the same Wastelander group that had come to Wickenburg. In Yarnell, two survivors (Jessica Cooper and Brayden Cooper) were encountered and encouraged to leave their home behind. The group then made their way to Prescott, AZ.
In Prescott, they met with Rhiannon Robertson and Forest of Ash werewolf pack. They were based at Light in the Dark, a structure that seems to be the source of a catastrophic event that wiped out thousands of the community's inhabitants. While there, evidence of a wandering vampire was found, but no luck was to be had in finding them. Rhiannon had several books and items sorted and packaged to send with the team, giving assurances that they would follow when their business in Prescott could be wrapped up.
The Journey continued on to Flagstaff, AZ, where the team experienced the KoA hospitality for the first time. They met the caretakers, residents, and other travelers. After the evening meal, the team explored and mingled a bit. But one of them wandered alone, believing themselves safe, and was attacked fro an unknown source...
