The characters were in their last formal finish school type training session with their Mentors when a sleepwalker known belonging to the Silver Ladder, Jameson, arrived and presented the mentor with a official summons to meet with the Hierophant immediately.
(ST NOTE: Mechanically when rolling for relationship all begin game with one door open in social combat with their mentor. Except Jonah who hasn't rolled yet.Because of Darwin and Beks were absent the same scene played out, if wanted happy to give the opportunity to address Poseidon at start of next session.)
Archive and Sydony were each taken in a well appointed Cadillac Escalade to the Chicago Hyatt Regency
taken to separate suites across from each other unknown to each other each pair spent 45 minutes waiting for their appointment. Each pair got to experience their peripheral Mage Sight go off as the other casted a spell.
Eventually they were summoned. (Jameson is known to have a twin now.) Through a exclusive elevator each pair was taken to the penthouse highly appointed in opulent design to show wealth in a classic Grecian style. Each pair met with Poseidon in mask but less formal discovering he is a black man. Each also experienced his Nimbus of a looming presence behind you.
Poseidon told the players that it was his will for them to form a cabal in Willowbrook. Politically it made sense that the Pentacle was showing a united front that no matter the path or order the team could work together. The suburb had always been seen as a protectorate of Chicago and to not keep mages there would abandon that claim and weaken the image of Chicago’s strength.
This began decades ago when Khiro asked Poseidon for permission to claim Willowbrook as his own. For whatever reason or price that was paid this was allowed. The terms of the agreement aren’t publicly known (Consillium Status x5 needed.) but being out of sight and out of mind it was of no real importance.
Recently something had changed.the connection between the mage and a soul stone in the form of perfect golden amber was broken in a manner that could only suggest death of the mage. With this Poseidon went to work to organize a newbie crew to inspect the sanctum and bring all mysteries to him via rights of Lex Magica. The newbie crew get whatever they find in Willowbrook but the carrot was acceptance into whatever Chicago Cabal they choose when done.Archive put her foot in her mouth accepting the offer embarrassing herself. Sydony expressed frustration on seemingly being exiled.
After the audience Darwin left to think about the offer. Bels stayed at the hotel and met up with Sydony and Archive officially. The three ladies discussed some things and decided to grab dinner at the beat pizza spot they knew of. While discussing goals, politics, and personal experience all three ladies picked up on someone was taking pictures of them.
