Called "The First Kingdom" due to Kirbury being the capital of the unified Artirian Domain, Sangeria has enjoyed centuries of prosperity despite its harsh geography. The Kingdom is all but cut in half by the Frigid Mountains and plagued by frequent bandit raids around the area. However, its rich resources and well-maintained infrastructure has kept it stable and rich. Under Queen Verna, focus primarily resided in diplomatic outreach to the neighboring remnants of the Domain in order to establish an alliance against the encroaching Empire. The war had not been kind, with them having been forced to retreat to the Goborval river. The river combined with Dortet's Signal Highlands has managed to provide a natural barrier to hold off Taganta's forces.
Despite these defeats, Queen Verna's diplomatic efforts managed to be a great success, having managed to martial the combined forces of the old Artirian Domain as well as offer a temporary sovereignty with the northern Isle of Kin in exchange for humanitarian aid amidst their current crop failure. While some commodities has been stretched thin, the discovery of a vast Adamantine vein has provided much-needed employment, bringing with it hope that fighting against the Empire wasn't doomed to fail.
