Dionese devoted much of their time to embellishing their own cities rather than centralizing or expanding. Culture was their key export, but what they were best known for by neighboring rulers was their navy. The Dionese Navy was the most powerful in its time, before they were ultimately defeated and occupied by the Empire. They share in their Southern neighbors a tendency for darker skin, and many have vestigial signs of webbing between their fingers and toes.
