The Empire of Taganta is structured around incredibly strict rules and adherence to the law. The Emperor is God, and no other Gods exist save for Him. If you do not excel in something, you are destined for a life of poverty, ignored by even the most common of citizens. That being said, even they are seen as higher in status than the occupied "savages." To defect from the Empire is seen as such an offense, you and the rest of your family are no longer considered citizens. Your entire family is put to death, and should you even attempt to re-integrate you will be refused and put to death. Tagantans are easily identifiable by their eyes, as they possess a black sclera, presumably as a trait evolved from growing up in typically snowy climates.
Imperial Mindset:
- You gain proficiency in either Deception or Intimidation. Once per long rest, if you roll a natural 1 with your chosen skill, you may reroll. You must take this result.
- Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.
