Separating the ocean from the Bay of Ordon lies the two islands of Perisone. While traditionally part of Senesia, they have historically been relatively independent to where they may as well be their own state. Owing to their spectacular position in both trade and climate, it serves as a self-sufficient mercantile paradise, typically separated from any conflicts.
That changed, however, when the Empire invaded the southern island. Even compared to Senesia, the Perisone islands were slow to respond appropriately to the war, figuring they'd be able to stay effectively neutral and keep profiting. The southern island is a natural fortress, surrounded by rough, rocky shores and rough terrain. Due to its defensive capabilities, it was used to house the majority of the islands' military forces. The loss came as a huge shock and a devastating blow. While still part of Senesia, the northern island is essentially forced to deal with Imperial trade with high favoritism, and is thus a useful route to siphon Alliance goods.
