Session 52: A Long Carriage Ride

After trekking to the outskirts of town the party stopped to catch their breath and allow Woodsworth time to recenter himself and summon a carriage to carry them back to the rendezvous point. The ride was long and solemn. Lots of conversations, sharing of information, and figuring out where the members of Fortune's Vanguard currently stand. Fae expressed her doubts with the current circumstances and mentioned her moral dilemma, including a serious consideration of leaving the party. Discussions were had about saints, and sainthood, and what makes a saint. Words turned to Harold several times, and each time he was mentioned Ashpa visually reacted and shut down, but she was not pressed.

Eventually they returned to the Discovery, and Woodsworth decided to be forthright with the crew going forward. Woodsworth told of the dangers the party had faced, and may face in the future. Ensuring everyone knew exactly what they were actually getting in to. Several crew members opted to resign, including the twins and Cirne. In a show of good faith, Woodsworth opted to attempt to heal Cirne's eyes, allowing him to see without needing glasses. Xael and Woodsworth held a long discussion with Zet Lardtoe-the ship's surgeon, explaining to him the perils of the clockwork parasites they encountered on Rosemore.

The party finally checked what their payment from the Foundation was, it included 15,000 gold pieces, 4 stat boosting accessories, 4 identical amulets of natural armor, and 2 scrolls of armor enchantment +1. Woodsworth began his meeting with his handler, sharing information about a possible schism within the foundation and updates on the current plans of Fortune's Vanguard. The breach and outbreak of the Blue Wrath was concluded to be a mistake on the foundations part, they had no idea it was there. The Reliable is also hading for Rosemore, and Fortune's Vanguard is expected to meet up with them and escort them to Sanctum Alpha.

Woodsworth scryed upon Dathrun, Great Chief of the Vaelhrathi, he was wounded, and the wounds were being dressed. Woodsworth tried to scry on Helen, but the pool remained cloudy. Woodsworth attempted to scry upon the Red Dragon, the clouded water parted, revealing specs of light in darkness, a droning hum, but nothing more.
