Session 61: Open Ocean, Storm's Eve

The party stayed the night in Dustoverke after their enlightening meeting with the enigmatic Maklus. They made their way to Udrodzid with the aid of Woodsworth Moure's magical carriage. The Vaelhrathi had already begun to aid in the ruin's excavation, and Dathrun was happy to see them. A short (or tall, if you're J'ack Rameur) kitsune stood to the side during the happy reunion, quietly taking notes. He introduced himself as Milu Soma, a professional scribe or writer of some sort. He seemed interested in following the group, despite certain members' reputations, perhaps for inspiration to some grand work he had yet to pen.

The party traveled next back to Iatama, with Milu in tow; J'ack was hoping to alleviate some of his own suspicions with a trip to the town graveyard. Besides some signs of animal movement, there appeared to be no disturbances to the graves there. They then made their way back to Dubkov, hoping to meet The Discovery at the docks. Cleis cast some spell over himself to hide from the masses who wished to make his gold their own. Cleis' newfound anonymity did little to hide the attentions thrust upon Saint Woodsworth: Healer of the Sick, Mender of the Lame, Raiser of the Dead; however.

The crew was given a week of shore leave, and a gold allowance so that they could enjoy themselves before a rather long journey at sea. A meeting was held in the mess hall for the members of Fortune's Vanguard, and to Ripley's surprise she was invited in. Woodsworth thanked her for all she had done, and presenting her with the ship's manifest, invited her to join the Vanguard. Ripley sat there in shock for several minutes, seemingly unsure of what to do. After a moment that seemed like an eternity she signed, revealing her last name - Blackfin.

As night approached, members of the party wondered what they would do with this week in the port, perhaps one last moment of calm... as stormy seas loomed.
