Fortune's Vanguard began as we did before, waiting for open conflict as I opened the door. There, a strange thing of meat and eye's floated. Knowing better, I decided the best way to protect the party was to close the door. So I did.
We went around another path, exploring the west side of the strange building were we encountered that wall of meat. This time we saw what looked like a workshop, and one of those metal things we found on the last island. We circled around back and found more workshop, and something Woodsworth Moure said is meant to burn bodies. About that time I heard something, so we went back to find the metal thing doing something. I held it in place while Cleis Frostclaw slowed it down. We then let it go to see what it would do.
It started smashing its tools so I smashed it. Sorry metal thing.
We then decided to investigate the Ball of Meat. Myself and J'ack Rameur kept closing the door so our party could peak at the thing, but then they just walked through. There were some notes about something aways away, and the thing seemed to be contained in some kind of invisible barrel. I started painting pictures to see what it recognized and if we could learn anything about the lich but then something explored and the barrel went away. I guess it got spooked because it then started shooting lights out of it's eyes.
We beat it I think but just barely. It stole my sight and made me feel really weak, but I'm feeling stronger now so I'm sure my vision will return in time. It's the new year which is something my tribe never really celebrated but I'd like to be able to see better. That is my wish. As I write this (I hope this is paper) the others have gone outside to see some lights. I think I can hear something though...
