Session 76: Mountainsward before Spring breaks

In the Sunwreath Isles, Fortune's Vanguard wandered through the edge of a swamp. Further away from the Southwest Satellite, we discovered a corpse of an animal, hung precariously in an easily noticed tree. It faced away from the swamplands, to the northwest. Heading for higher grounds, Milu Soma studied over the new geologies of this unknown land. We found a rising elevation, and headed on a conjoining path northward. We passed over an area of saltpetre, a strange grainy mineral usually located beneath the earth. Taking to more lush and less undead-infested grounds, and hoping to find the peoples of this land after the melt, we discovered a Mountain to the west.

A message was sent to the Discovery, to Kr'af, letting them know it will be many weeks before our return... Jeffrey Rameur was scried upon, far away in Egland, speaking with Jeffralt of The Patriciate regarding daily work at the temple. Ripley spoke of a Niles whom her past is entwined with, but the scrying seas kept our sights away for now.

Studying over the area, a small section of the snow packing on the mountain revealed the source of the saltpeter: a cave buried deep beneath the compacted frost. Using J'ack Rameur's tools and time perched on the side of the mountain, we excavated out a tunnelway. After several hundred feet, it opened up into a massive long chamber, with numerous skeletons and bonepieces in tall piles on the sides of it. All the way at the other end, we squeezed through creviceway coated in a strange oily matter before traveling a few more hours. After only 5 hours of travel, we hid in a new rocky Sylvean Hideaway to catch our breath. We rested for the day, hoping to explore this place more before Spring arrives.
