House Rules

The following is a list of quick reference rules we are playing with:

Skill checks

One skill check is permitted by one party member any tests the party encounter. However, others may aid with the same skill at half difficulty to give the roller a +2, this must be declared before the roll. Repeatable tests ignore this rule in appropriate circumstances. This rule is in place to prevent game slow-down. Knowledge checks from different PC's may be made separately, but must all be rolled simultaneously to save time. (No rolling retroactively because someone else failed a knowledge check!)

Food and Starvation

If you do not eat at the start of the day, you suffer an ongoing -1 hunger modifier until you eat. Starvation rules otherwise work as per the Starvation and Thirst rules on this page. If you become fatigued from not eating, the penalty from fatigue overrides, and does not combine with the -1 hunger modifier.

Overland Travel

A party may travel 8 hours per day without issue. To travel over 8 hours, follow the Forced March rules on this page.
