Sanctum Alpha (The Clouded Facility) was surrounded by a spewing chamber of a blue miasma. This blue miasma was later identified as Blue Wrath (disease).
This seems to be an alteration of the "Fog Cloud" spell, which carries a horrific effect - causing things that are exposed to this to develop a unique disease. This disease formed as a headache, and eventually lead to blinding rage.
Additionally, the beetles that Cleis Frostclaw had been researching were capable of injecting this same disease into individuals.
