Fortune's Vanguard Arrives at Alia

The party was sailing away from Rosemore Island over the course of 140 Days. Over the journey, each member took some time to themselves to reflect on what's passed. Xael decided to get swole. Fae Wight decided to read a book. Cleis Frostclaw mastered the art of hands, while Woodsworth Moure personally communed with Caduceus.

It was during this time that the party came up with a name for themselves: Fortune's Vanguard

Captain Woodsworth Moure of The Discovery directed the ship along the northern coast of Tulsa-aria. They traveled at the edges of the coast, dwarfing ship after ship with the massive vessel. A few days later, they arrived at the edge of Alia, the City of Grand Food. Taking the boat near an open dock, the coastline had people of all sorts out - excited to see the vessel visiting their city. City guards took point, as The Guard Named Tom took them to the Harbormaster's Office. Inside, the Captain placed down a Diamond (~1k), which was used as payment for the ship's stay.

Two Weeks was given before Reservation at Alia's Port: The Discovery. Should the vessel wish to leave port sooner, the Harbormaster's office is to be informed. A Ship Ledger will need to be provided to document the present crew before the crew's departure.

Zayn Moore began to depart, but before leaving, Woodworth offered a farewell dinner. They agreed to meet at sunset - between him and Xael, they would pick out a location.

The group then split. Xael went into the market to purchase things, Fae stayed guard on the ship, while Cleis and Woodsworth went to the custom's office.

During Xael's trip into the market, he stumbled across a potential new hire for Fortune's Vanguard: J'ack Rameur at a bar. The two drank, and Xael gave J'ack some information on an upcoming. The mercenary looking for work decided to take up the invitation...

Fae continued to nap while Woodsworth and Cleis spoke with Shivera, the snake-customs agent. Woodsworth received a note for 50k goods, and him + Cleis learned that it would be hard to find a buyer in town to purchase those gems.

They arrived at Cockle and Sons At dinner, Zayn arrived with an extra guest - as did Fortune's Vanguard. Marcus Walker, of Slowcart Foundation (Alia Branch), arrived in full purple regalia. The dinner was paid for, and the lavish-food-starved crew of The Discovery decided to dig in. Over the course of the feast, there were some minor discussions on the movement of business forward:

  • Woodsworth accidentally revealed information regarding the Blue Fog to Marcus, despite Zayn having not mentioned it in his report.
  • Woodsworth is wanted for the Assassination of King Edval Eg, and the Kidnapping of the Idol Caduceus.
  • The Slowcart Foundation is willing to provide some assistance on these issues should we pursue a contract.

Woodsworth was told to consider this swiftly, and was told to meet Marcus at the Slowcart Foundation HQ in Southgate in the coming week. He departed, and left the crew to their merriment and thoughts.

Zayn was said farewell to, but he may be around the Slowcart Foundation if requested. The party returned to The Discovery for some well needed rest.

In the middle of the night, Xael heard some commotion over the side of the ship. Upon seeing numerous folk with weaponry drawn, boarding the ship, Xael declared that the ship was under attack!
