10th of Birds
The defense of Umgewesen raged on. Dierdre's quick thinking to close the door once the two orcs that had scaled the tower tried to open it worked perfectly and wasted much of their precious time. The orcs on the battering ram managed to break through the gate, but were immediately pelted with arrows. After a few more rounds of the party picking of orcs one by one, the few remaining tried to flee. They were expertly taken down and Umgewesen was safe at last.
Pleased with their skill, Sir Bertrand asked the party if they would like to join his ranks. The Reclaimants explained that while they were happy to help, they needed to continue on their journey to Drumshiel. Upon hearing this, Sir Bertrand offered to help lead troops at Drumshiel once they arrived, another ally to the quest gained. The group gathered at the docks to prepare to cross the river and found passage upon Captain Peter Eberwald's ship, where they would work to get free passage. While everyone prepared for bed before their journey continued, Aurent discovered that there was something not quite right with his shadow.
TLDR: We kicked orc ass. Aurent's shadow is getting a little too weird.
