020. What's the Tea?

March 30, 2024

14th-20th of Birds

The Reclaimants set their sights to Colonia Lusitania and continued their long journey west. Along the way, Iskandur became inflicted with a very itchy rash which Tanythe was able to help relieve with a tonic and advice to be wary of where he takes his bathroom breaks in the future.

21st-25th of Birds

While travelling, the party came across a tea saleswoman. They each partook in a cup, Leith got a strong black tea, Tanythe asked for a surprise and was presented with a lovely orange hibiscus tea, Aurent asked for the woman's favorite and was given a lavender tea, and Adom asked Tanythe which tea he should try and chose a raspberry leaf tea. They all had a pleasant break enjoying their respective cups and exchanging news of what they had seen on the road with the woman.

Once they had finished their cups, the woman offered a complimentary tea leaf reading. Leith's reading revealed that great fortune would come in the weeks or months following. Adom's reading indicated that he may stumble a bit in the future, but that he may be presented with great opportunities. Tanythe's tea leaves predicted that she would do some great heroic deed and find love soon. Finally, Aurent's reading showed that he would gain a new scar or witness a great scar upon the land but would also come into some good luck. Aurent, Tanythe, and Adom all bought some tea for their travels before bidding the woman farewell.

While resting at the end of a long days journey, Tanythe, Adom, and Aurent shared a cup of their newly bought tea while discussing faint memories the tea had brought up for Aurent. He had felt some kind of connection to a past yet remembered, though he couldn't quite visualize it yet. Adom and Tanythe shared some of their own memories of their pasts as well.

Leith and Jude had "the talk" and decided that while they greatly enjoy each other's conversations, they both have different end goals for their lives. Jude is a free spirit and wishes not to set down permanent roots, whereas Leith wants to have a large family and intends to make Drumshiel his permanent home. They decided that until a time came where their interests no longer aligned, they would continue to enjoy the comforts each other brings.

The party came across a travelling merchant and bought some new alchemical items, a mud bomb and a green colorful coating.

Aurent and Leith spotted a hastily thrown together tent in the distance and Adom heard screaming coming from within. The party hustled over and asked if whoever was inside needed assistance. A disgruntled looking man exited the tent, covered in blood, and informed the party that his wife had gone into labor suddenly and was struggling. Tanythe brewed the man a cup of tea and tried to sooth his worries while Evard, a trained midwife, sprung into action delegating the rest of the party with gathering supplies. With the assistance of Aurent, and a little holy magic from Adom, the baby was delivered without further complication. Both baby and mother were happy and healthy and the next day she felt well enough to return to their village.

30th of Birds

After a long and eventful journey, the Reclaimants finally reached the border of Colonia Lusitania

TLDR: You can trust exactly one (1) random old lady on the road in Marshall's games, tea brings out the best in people (though some may argue coffee is better), we can now add midwives to our resume

Radical quote of the session: "Leith strikes me as a man's man."-Aurent  "He's certainly Jude's man if you know what I mean."- Tanythe
