Session 30

16th of Bonfires-18th of Bonfires

The Reclaimants made their final push to Broagdoor. Along the way, they encountered a ley line, a fissure of raw magical energy. Aurent spent some time experimenting with it as they travelled and managed, after a few failures, to tap into it. He was fascinated by the arcane anomaly and made note to study them further.

22nd of Bonfires

The party arrived at Broagdoor and decided to go straight to the immigration office to turn in their weapons and register for their long stay. They ended up having to spend several hours filling out paperwork and paying various, inane taxes. The party then decided to seek out Naemor Uskalas
at the Adament Hotel. Leith and Tanythe found him quite quickly and Aurent handed over the letter, where they received the remained of their payment. After Naemor had left, Tanythe noted that he had a Tesaphonian accent and the party briefly worried that they had given the letter to the wrong person, but then decided that simply wasn't their problem.

Before leaving the hotel, the party was approached by a servant of Korsal af Yyenifin and invited to dinner at his estate as he is very interested in the Reclaimants quest. They decided to settle in for the night but agreed to join him for dinner the next day. The party did a little asking around about Korsal and discovered that he is potentially close with the underking of Broagdoor and that the Yyenifin clan are closely tied to politics. The party bedded down at the Mad Dog Inn for the evening, ready to start their winter in Broagdoor the next day.

TLDR: Tax for your weapons, tax for your gold, tax for your weird bear, tax for staying so long, tax, tax, tax...

Radical quote of the session: "That's just implying that if Tanythe made a bomb it would be a crime. But that's true in most cities I think."-Marshall
