23rd of Bonfires

The Reclaimants decided to start their first full day in Broagdoor with a perusal through the markets. Tanythe found many alchemical items and recipes and did her best to haggle the price, but the shrewd merchant was familiar with her tactics and merely offered her a coupon for future purchases. Aurent browed for some spells and managed to find a few to his liking. Adom spent some time listening to gossip about Korsal and discovered that he is infact very close to the underking and also learned that Korsal is very patriotic.

The party then decided to go to the clan hall as Leith hoped he could learn more about the clan brooch he was left with as a child. The librarian, Philis af Philmis, spent some time browsing the archives to see if she could find anything on Leith's particular brooch. Taynthe also asked about her brooch that housed Laurel and was directed to an engraver named Caethar af Naemond. Philis did mention that it appeared to be a brooch used to bestow honor upon its wearer, usually in a military setting. Adom shared some wine with some dwarves in the library, and was gifted a vial of strange, white, murky liquid by a rather strung out looking dwarf, Tanythe later informed adom that the vial was a potent drug.

Tanythe and Aurent helped Leith search through the files and books that h thought may be helpful in discovering his family name. Tanythe found a ledger of migrants and refugees that had travelled through Marnier, though no names stood out to Leith and he did not see his own name amongst the records. Aurent found a register of a teenage nightclub registered in Broagdoor 80 years ago. It had only been open for a month byut the proprieter of the club was named Leith af Falkur. Aurent was convinced that must be Leith's father, though Leith himself was dubious.

While browsing, leith came across a dwarf who claimed to be from Drumshiel, a captain named Sigismund af Stonefist. Leith was incredibly confused by this and was convinced the dwarf had gone mad, until Tanythe approached him and informed Leith that he appeared to be talking to himself. Leith told Sigismund that he believed he was a ghost, to which Sigismund laughed and handed him his own clan brooch, a shield with a hammer and sword crossed behind it and a triangular garnet in the center. Sigismund said that he felt like he could trust Leith and that he should seek him out again. As Sigismund walked away, he faded into the row of books, and his brooch turned int oa ball of light and entered Leith's own brooch.

Philis returned and informed Leith that she sadly could not find any brooches similar to his own. Leith told the rest of the party about his strange encounter, and Aurent examined Leith's brooch. He believed that it contained some kind of magic and instructed Leith to focus on it and Sigismund. After doing so, a spectral version of Sigismund appeared before Leith and hurled a massive stone at the wall, wrecking quite a few shelves. Leith realized in that moment, that Sigismund bore a striking resemblance to him. He looked back over the records and discovered two names that this time, did stand out to him, Obot and Ulaya Wildbear af Stonefist.

TLDR: Listen I know Tanythe said it's drugs, but it's definitely cum, right?

Radical quote of the session:  "In a battle of wits, I enter the field unarmed."-Aurent
