Ability Scores:

Your characters ability scores shows their strengths and weaknesses, it communicates what they have spent their time refining as well as what they are naturally talented in or not. There are 6 Ability scores, 3 pertain to the physical aspects of your character; Strength, Dexterity  and Constitution. The other 3 are related to the mental and spiritual prowess of your character; Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma. To score how able your character is in any of these 3 categories we use a scale from 0-20, 10 is seen as average however anything below a 7 will have negative consequences for your character. As an example if your intelligence is 6 or below you are unable to speak or understand any language.

Point Buy System:

To generate these scores we use a point buy system as indicated in the table below. You must choose 6 scores and then add the point cost total of those 6 together to a total of 25, additionally one of the scores must be below a 10

Ability Modifiers:

Once you have your 6 scores you must now use them to create a modifier for the 6 scores. The modifier is what will be added to all roles and skill checks. You can calculate the modifier by takeing the ability score subtracting 10, dividing by 2 and finally rounding down. For example if your Ability score for Strength is 17, your strength modifier would be, 17-10=7 => 7/2=3.5 rounded down gives us +3. If this is to tedious to do for all six scores refer to the table below:
