Bakutarish

The Scarred Thorn

Originally from a small Iruxi village of little consequence between Manaket and Merab, Bakutarish spent much of his late childhood in the hands of Chelish slavers. Stolen away from the coast of the Golden Road at a young age, the Iruxi spent years toiling away, abused for his natural strength and finesse in the water this largely involved looting the bounties of the sea for the benefit of his masters.

Midway through his teens and long after giving up hope of freedom, Baku suddenly found himself staring at his bonds broken at his feet. The slavers slain by a armored elf who then took the the Iruxi in after realizing he knew not how to even begin to find his way home. On their travels he found this stranger to be warrior of Milani, devout to the cause of bringing freedom to those who have lost it. Seeing himself indebted to them, Baku pledged himself to their service and that of their god whose teachings if not blessing had saw fit to save him.

After a few short years into his budding adulthood Baku and his mentor parted ways. Taught how to fight with more than just claw and fang, and blessed with no small amount of power from their mutual benefactor, He set out to find his own way to free others the same way he had. Upon their departure however the elf gifted him a beautifully crafted curved blade, reminiscent of the Iruxi's homeland, as a final farewell.

Knowing better than to depend upon himself alone, Baku soon joined the Pathfinder Society in the hopes that their typically noble goals would align with his own and provide allies with which to fight the injustices of the world with.
