During the summer months, the Brindlewood Bay Whaling Museum and Education Center along with the Société de Biologie Marine sponsors a 'dolphin race'. They use the trackers that the local bottlenose dolphin populations are tagged with as they pass through Brindlewood Bay. As the pods pass the southern portion of the Bay, they are entered into the race. When they pass out of the northern portion of the Bay, they are considered to have passed the finish line.
They use this race to fund raise, for the Brindlewood Bay Whaling Museum and Education Center. To avoid 'gambling' restrictions, it is done as a ticketed silent auction/raffle. So you pay for X amount of tickets, and then you put those tickets into a bag representing different dolphin pods. When a pod crosses the finish line, a ticket is drawn from the bag. The person who has the other half of the ticket wins whatever the prize is.
