Anigoria Hearthfire

Adventurer, "Redglare"

At the tender age of two years old, Anigoria was left on the steps of an old orphanage, somewhere in the middle of Zyratix. She never knew her parents, no one had ever seen them, and she had no idea who they were, where they were, or if they even missed her. And she didn't care.

Growing up, she was bullied for being a tiefling; she was ‘different’, no matter how different any of them were for one another, but she didn’t play by their rules. She was a troublemaker, constantly fighting back, taking things too far, and being punished because of it.

Once, when she was 13 years old, her retaliation reached new heights. After a particularly violent session of bullying, something in Anigoria snapped like a dam breaking. Sparks flicked to life around her hands and, in a near-instant, the old orphanage was alight; her powers had awakened for the first time. In the heat of the moment, she ran; afraid and unaware of what she had done. She would live on the streets after that and, eventually, find that she was being treated as a wanted criminal, wanted for the burning down of the orphanage, and for the deaths of nearly four dozen other children and the staff of the building.

Anigoria took to crime to live and was unfortunately skilled at it. She took on the last name ‘Hearthfire’, as she’d never had one of her own, and also took to calling herself ‘Redglare’ to try and hide her identity. Eventually, her fear overtook her and she managed to skulk away on an airship headed to Gadencia. Once there, she became an Adventurer to try and hide her tracks; After all, they’d even pay her to do it!
